As a solution for these complexities and the problem of weight growth, wireless technology has been used with the TDMA method. The approach for replacing wire by wireless technology may, however, not be secure and reliable.

The objectives of this work can be listed as follow ; to investigate the effects of parts of trees, such as trunks, foliage, twigs, and canopies of trees on the propagating signals passing through these parts, and then to find the most appropriate elevation of the transceivers antenna in the real field based on empirical measurements ; to investigate the accuracy of the existing vegetation path loss models (Weissberger, ITU-R, FITU-R and COST235) in the greenhouse environment ; to determine the main factors that affect the power strength of propagating signals and taken them into account when deriving a new empirical model ; to derive a new empirical path loss model that represents the behavior of the electromagnetic waves (EM) in the greenhouse environment based on actual measurements.
