📒The Rain Of Wisdom ✍ Nalanda Translation Committee
✏The Rain of Wisdom Book Summary : The art of composing spontaneous songs that express spiritual understanding has existed in Tibet for centuries. Over a hundred of these profound songs are found in this collection of the works of the great teachers of the Kagyü lineage, known as the Practice Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Many readers are already familiar with the colorful life of the yogin Milarepa, an early figure in the Kagyü lineage, some of whose songs are included here. Songs by over thirty other Buddhist teachers are also presented, from those of Tilopa, the father of the lineage, to those of the Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa, as well as several songs by Chögyam Trungpa, the noted teacher of Buddhism in America who directed the translation of The Rain of Wisdom. The diversity of the songs mirrors the richness of Tibetan Buddhism and gives us clear portraits of some of its most eminent teachers. Their longing for truth, their heartfelt devotion, and their sense of humor are all reflected. These poems share a beauty and intensity that have made them famous in Tibetan literature. With its vivid imagery and deep insight, The Rain of Wisdom communicates a profound and timeless understanding.

📒Extraordinary Freedom ✍ Dana Marsh
✏Extraordinary Freedom Book Summary : Extraordinary Freedom is an approachable and straightforward invitation to open to life, to inquire within, and to go beyond confusion and live in the light of awareness. Although the book isn’t filled with the esoteric language of the Buddhist tradition, it has the depth of this powerful wisdom tradition. By becoming conscious of our inner world, our habits, beliefs, neurosis, and attachments there is an opportunity to see their empty nature and in doing so transform our lives. The wisdom we need is already within us, it is who we are. By living in awareness and gaining insight we discover this for ourselves. In order to reveal this wisdom in our consciousness we need to try on a new way of seeing and relating to life and all the conditions it presents, then the extraordinariness of who we are can reveal itself and the chains that bind us to old hardened views will break. We can experience extraordinary freedom moment by moment, embracing all that life offers. “Many people need a book like this which is simple in its language and profound in its meaning.” Anam Thubten
📒The Bodhisattva Path Of Wisdom And Compassion Volume 2 ✍ Chogyam Trungpa
✏The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion volume 2 Book Summary : The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma represents meditation master Chögyam Trungpa’s greatest contribution to Western Buddhism. This three-volume collection presents in lively, relevant language the comprehensive teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist path of the hinayana, mahayana, and vajrayana. This work will resonate with new students of Buddhism as well as the most senior students. The second volume, The Bodhisattva Path of Wisdom and Compassion, presents the bodhisattva teachings of the mahayana. At this point, having trained and seen the benefits of looking within, the student begins to shift their focus outward to the broader world. Formal entry into the mahayana occurs with taking the bodhisattva vow. Mahayana practitioners dedicate themselves to the service of all sentient beings, aspiring to save them from sorrow and confusion, and vowing to bring them to perfect liberation. This stage of the path emphasizes the cultivation of wisdom through the view and experience of emptiness, or shunyata, in which all phenomena are seen to be unbounded, completely open, ungraspable, and profound. From the ground of shunyata, compassionate activity is said to arise naturally and spontaneously. In addition to mindfulness and awareness, the mahayanist practices lojong, or "mind training," based on the cultivation of the paramitas, or "transcendent virtues": generosity, discipline, patience, exertion, meditation, and prajna, or "knowledge." As a component of lojong, tonglen, or "sending and taking," is practiced in order to increase maitri, or loving-kindness. Other topics covered in detail in this volume include bodhichitta, skillful means, Buddha nature and basic goodness, Madhyamaka, the ten bhumis, the three kayas, and more.

📒Buddhism Tibetan Traditions And Indian Path ✍ Vijay Kumar Singh
✏Buddhism Tibetan Traditions and Indian Path Book Summary : The present book is an anthology of my previously published fifteen articles in the span of 19 years. Many articles were not available today. My friend and colleagues suggested me to put them into a book and publish it so that they became useful for the readers and available at one place. Therefore I took this task and this work is here. In this book there are varieties of articles; in Theravada and Mahayana and also in Tibetan Buddhism. Right from the Buddhism from the Gandhian perspectives to the status of women, this anthology covers mainly the most highlighted concepts of Tibetan Buddhism i.e. Bodhicitta or the altruistic attitude of the mind. I have also chosen the much discussed meditational practice of Buddhism i.e. Vipassana and two articles are given in this book here. The much discussed theory of void and Dependent origination is also given from Tibetan practice point of view. An article on Dependent origination is also given as the Buddha said that one who sees the dependent origination sees the Dharma. Compassion begets merits and because of the compassion Buddha agreed to disseminate his teachings after his initial hesitation at Bodh-Gaya. Two articles are attributed to the compassion and its associated practices from the Tibetan perspectives. The most solicited article is Buddhism today which will compel the reader to think about the religion, practices and the man and associated habits since the time unknown.
