✏The Allergy Solution Book Summary : The Allergy Solution by Leo Galland, MD and Jonathan Galland, JD | Summary & Analysis Preview: The Allergy Solution by Leo Galland and Jonathan Galland is a self-help book for people who want to understand the root causes of allergies, how they manifest biologically, and how to heal them naturally without resorting to potentially harmful drugs. In his four decades as an internist, Leo Galland has healed a range of common allergic diseases, such as hay fever and eczema, as well as an increasing number of hidden allergies, which can result in weight gain, mood swings, poor digestion, and muscle aches. In conventional allergy treatment, sufferers first try to figure out what it is that they are allergic to and then take appropriate medication to dispel the related physical symptoms. Galland, however, believes that allergic responses are the result of immune system imbalance. Therefore, to properly address symptoms, it’s imperative to get to the root cause of why the immune system is malfunctioning in the first place... ✏The Food Allergy Cure Book Summary : Food allergies are one of the most common chronic medical conditions. Dr. Ellen Cutler, a chiropractor and naturopath, has spent ten years studying enzyme therapy and nutrition and their relationship to allergies, asthma, immune disorders, and chronic diseases. Using methods derived from many disciplines -- including chiropractic, Eastern medicine, immunology, environmental medicine, genetics, and Western physiology and physics -- Dr. Cutler has found a way to combat allergies at their root: the immune response. Her system of techniques, called BioSET?, combines muscle testing, detoxification, enzyme and diet therapy, and chiropractic manipulation to desensitize people permanently to every kind of allergy, not only those caused by foods. To understand how Dr. Cutler's techniques work, it's helpful to think of the body as an electromagnetic organism in which energy flows along invisible pathways called meridians, or channels. Essentially, an allergic response is caused when these pathways are blocked by the immune response to an allergen. Dr. Cutler's techniques actually unblock these pathways, thus stopping the body's violent immune response. The Food Allergy Cure teaches you how to test yourself to determine the allergies you have and gives you simple techniques you can perform on yourself or your children to begin to lead an allergy-free life. In addition, there are helpful lists of foods and enzymes to correct digestive disorders such as lactose intolerance, chronic heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, and constipation. Dr. Cutler also recommends foods that support the immune system's functioning and work to alleviate such disorders as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, fibromyalgia, colitis, herpes, and candida. This blending of Eastern and Western medicine is so easy to implement and will be hailed as a new paradigm of twenty-first-century medicine. For the ninety million people who experience food allergies and haven't found relief in the usual approaches, The Food Allergy Cure offers a revolutionary program that allows sufferers to identify and alleviate specific food sensitivities immediately! * Learn quick and easy methods to identify your allergies. * Discover how to detoxify your body. * Find the most effective means of eliminating food sensitivities. * Take a self-diagnostic questionnaire to determine which specific enzymes will contribute to your optimum health. ✏The New Allergy Solution Book Summary : One of America’s top allergy doctors offers a revolutionary, full-body approach to diagnosing, preventing, and treating allergies—in many cases, for good. Millions of Americans currently suffer from allergies, and the rate is growing. Climate change, globalization, air pollution, and oversanitization of the environment in the early years of life are just a few of the causes that, taken together, have introduced new allergens into our environment that are wreaking havoc and causing needless suffering. This “new allergen marketplace” requires a new allergy solution. According to Dr. Clifford W. Bassett, traditional remedies focus on treating symptoms but leave allergy sufferers vulnerable to continued bouts of misery. Dr. Bassett argues that when we consider a person’s genetics, environment, and overall health, we can more effectively identify—and take appropriate action to forestall—symptoms before they even begin. For the first time, Dr. Bassett presents the unique, integrative approach he’s used in his Manhattan offices for two decades to vanquish allergy symptoms for countless individuals. In addition to explaining what allergy is (and isn’t) and identifying key triggers—from nuts to gluten to the nickel commonly used in cell phones—Dr. Bassett offers both medical and nonmedical alternatives to treatment, and specific, proactive steps to protect against common allergens. Allergens are here to stay, but with The New Allergy Solution, your life need no longer be ruled and ruined by allergy. The New Allergy Solution strives to enhance your well-being through strategies for a greater sense of control, giving you more freedom to do what you love.

✏Allergy Book Summary : Allergy in the United Kingdom has now reached epidemic proportions. In the UK the incidence of common allergic diseases has trebled in the last twenty years to become one of the highest in the world. Treatment of allergies is a significant cost to the National Health Service. Allergies can have a detrimental impact upon the education of children at school or the performance of adults at work. There is a severe shortage of allergy specialists in the United Kingdom. Problems with data collection mean that statistics are imprecise, and a significant proportion of general practitioners are unable to diagnose and manage allergic disorders, and have nowhere to refer patients with complex allergies. The report recommends that allergy centres led by a full-time allergist should be developed, where various specialists come together to diagnose and manage patients with complex allergic disorders. These allergy centres should be a source of education and training for doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers at every grade. They should also advance research, enabling effective treatments to be developed, and should provide the clinical database required for epidemiological studies. Clinicians within the allergy centre should work together with local schools, employers, charities and others to educate the general public, and particularly patients and their families, on allergy matters. Other recommendations include: maintaining clinical surveillance systems to monitor allergic disease; calling for further research into the ways in which the indoor environment influences allergy development; reviewing how children with hayfever are supported throughout the examination system; assessing the training that teachers receive in dealing with allergic emergencies; assisting individuals with occupational allergies to return to work; amending food labelling legislation to specify the amount of allergens contained within products; analysing the costs and benefits of immunotherapy treatment; and withdrawing advice which recommends peanut avoidance for pregnant women.

✏The Top 100 Drugs e book Book Summary : Prescribing for the first time is a nerve-wracking experience. Of all the tasks performed by new doctors, it is probably the one with greatest direct impact on the wellbeing of patients. Safe and effective practice rests on a good understanding of both clinical pharmacology and practical prescribing. Acquiring this is not easy, particularly when faced with reams of information about hundreds of unfamiliar drugs, often presented in a way that appears detached from clinical reality. This book is your starting point. It is a direct response to requests from students for a compendium of the 100 most important drugs in the NHS. Key information about the clinical pharmacology and practical prescribing of each drug is presented side-by-side, allowing you to direct your attention as appropriate for your stage of training. Drugs can be accessed alphabetically when you need quick information on the wards and by organ system or clinical indication when you are at your desk. Research led by Professor Emma Baker has identified the ‘top 100 drugs’ by their importance and prescribing frequency. She has shown that the list changes little over time, making it a stable resource upon which to base learning. The top 100 drugs and the five most important intravenous fluids are presented using a clear, consistent layout across double-page spreads. Drugs are arranged alphabetically and also listed by organ system and clinical indication, providing multiple pathways into the information. Clinical pharmacology is discussed under the headings: common indications; mechanisms of action; important adverse effects; warnings; and important interactions. Practical prescribing is discussed under the headings: prescription; administration; communication; monitoring; and cost. A clinical tip is presented for every drug. Single-best-answer questions are provided for self-assessment and to show how information from several drugs may be integrated.

Plagued by fatigue? Suffering from joint pain? According to preeminent clinical nutritionist Dr. Shari Lieberman, these symptoms are among the hallmarks of a little-known but surprisingly common sensitivity to gluten, a protein in certain grains. In her experience, eliminating gluten can alleviate many troubling symptoms for which doctors often can't find a cause, as well as chronic conditions for which mainstream medicine offers little hope of relief—including rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, lupus, and irritable bowel syndrome. In fact, 85 percent of Dr. Lieberman's clients who follow a gluten-free diet report dramatic improvement in their health—and scientific studies support her results. In The Gluten Connection, Dr. Lieberman presents a simple questionnaire to help readers assess their risk for gluten sensitivity and provides a 14-day eating plan to start them on the path to improved health and vitality. She also recommends nutritional supplements to support and maximize the therapeutic potential of a gluten-free diet.

✏How I Reversed My Moms Emphysema Book Summary : The amazing true story detailing my mother's complete recovery from emphysema. In my research on COPD I found Tobacco Control Studies showing fungal and mycobacterial spores in the exhale of smokers. In further research I found there were 7 fungi and mycobacteria that grew naturally on tobacco. I also found 6 bacteria and 3 oomycetes (water molds) that grew naturally on tobacco. I realized that maybe these spores are embedding themselves in the lungs of smokers and after decades of proliferation begin causing health issues and result in the COPD diagnosis. I developed a treatment program that would eradicate these mycobacteria and fungi from the lungs. My mother stayed on the restrictive diet and supplements that were all part of the alternative treatment program I developed that would eradicate mycobacteria and fungi. Amazingly, after 17 months on the diet and supplements she had completely recovered.
