📒The Adventures On Ken S Canal ✍ Lynne Burton
✏The Adventures on Ken s Canal Book Summary : Inspired by her children and a dream, Lynne Burton began writing children's books in 2008. One night I had a dream I was a children's author writing books about river boats. The following day I was watching TV and it was a programme about canals, so I decided to have a go at writing a book on barges, and it progressed from there. Burton's series of books are about characters living and working on a canal. The canal is called Ken's Canal and is named after her grandfather. All the characters in her books are named after family members and friends. Jamie is the head of the barges and he keeps everyone in line, especially George, who tends to be the cheeky/naughty one. Charlotte and Indee are considerate and caring, while baby Jacob is very young and innocent, being new on the canal. Two bridges, Stanley and Sheila, sit on either end of the canal. There are also a couple of vacation cottages for city folks. On the farm where farmer Mark and his wife Rachael live, is a barn called Barry, who's American. Barry the Barn wears a Stetson as his roof and has a Texas accent. Come join in on The Adventures on Ken's Canal. Lynne Burton lives in Leeds, England. The five barges are named after her two children and three cousins. We are all close and get together quite a lot, and my stories are based on what has happened to them. Publisher's website: http: //sbpra.com/LynnNichol
