📒Allah Is Not God And Muhammad Is The Messenger Of Allah ✍ Ross Genger
✏Allah Is Not God and Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah Book Summary : Islam presents an astonishing situation as it rejects all except those totally committing their will and mind to Allah, Muhammad, and the Qur'an, along with several other authority figures and traditions. The Bible accepts any and all who will come as humble sinners and seek the One God through the sacrifice of the Messiah of the Jews. This book is in total agreement with the Qur'an when the Qur'an says that most Jews and most Christians are evil, corrupt, and liars by the standards of right and wrong found in the Qur'an that is. The alternative is also true and again in agreement with the Qur'an. Muslims do not and may not adhere to the teachings of the Bible, which results in being lost by biblical teachings. The simple truth of the Qur'an is that Jews and Christians do not follow the Allah of the Qur'an, except a few who become Muslim. Also true is that the Muslims do not follow the God of the Bible, except a few who accept Jesus. God of the Bible is not Allah of the Qur'an, and Allah of the Qur'an is not God of the Bible, by name, by description, by personality, by judgment, or by love. The Qur'an has its greatest error when it says it is the completion and continuation of biblical revelation. This is fully accepted by Muslims because they have been taught that the Bible is corrupted, not the true one, and they do not read the Bible.
📒Let S Start With Jesus ✍ Dennis F. Kinlaw
✏Let s Start with Jesus Book Summary : “If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:7) Jesus is the great stumbling block of faith. It is in him that Christianity finds its uniqueness among the religions of the world. He is the Incarnate Son of God, the unique revelation of the Father. Yet so often, we begin the process of theological formulation not with the person of Jesus, but rather, with philosophical arguments about God’s existence and logical constructions to determine God’s nature. How would our understanding be affected if we instead took Jesus as our starting point for doing theology? In Let’s Start with Jesus, respected biblical scholar Dennis Kinlaw explores this question, revealing answers that are profound. In seeking to describe the nature of the relationship God desires with us, he explores three metaphors—royal/legal, familial, and nuptial—which serve as motifs for his reflection. Taking familiar theological categories, Kinlaw views them through the primary lens of the person and work of Jesus, and finds that Jesus reveals rich pictures of the nature of God, the nature of personhood, the problem of sin, the way of salvation, and finally, the means of sanctification via perfect love. The distilled wisdom of one of this generation’s greatest thinkers. Dr. Kinlaw leads you deep into the inner sanctuary of the Holy Trinity and shows you three distinct persons relating to each other in pure reciprocal love. —Robert E. Coleman, Distinguished Professor of Evangelism and Discipleship, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Every time I read something written by Dennis Kinlaw my mind is stimulated and my heart strangely warmed. Let’s Start with Jesus is another important book from a truly gifted man. —Lyle W. Dorsett, Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism, Beeson Divinity School, Samford University Kinlaw’s revolutionary approach to doing theology is much more than that—it’s a revolutionary approach to life. Kinlaw locates ultimate purpose in a place the church has almost totally neglected, and he does so graciously, with powerful, tightly reasoned biblical argumentation.

✏The Faith of One God who is Only the Father and of One Mediator Between God and Men who is Only the Man Christ Jesus and of One Holy Spirit the Gift and Sent of God Book Summary :
📒The Expositions On The Psalms Annotated Edition ✍ St. Augustine of Hippo
✏The Expositions On The Psalms Annotated Edition Book Summary : This is the extended and annotated edition including * an extensive biographical annotation about the author and his life In any commentary on a portion of the Old Testament by a writer unacquainted with Hebrew, exact criticism, and freedom from mistake, must not be expected. But the Psalms have been so in the mouth and in the heart of God’s people in all languages, that it has been necessary often to find an explanation suitable to imperfect translations. And no doubt it is intended that we should use such explanations for the purpose of edification, when we are unable to be more accurate, though in proving doctrine it is necessary always to remember and allow for any want of acquaintance with the original, or uncertainty with respect to its actual meaning. However, the main scope and bearing of the text is rarely affected by such points as vary in different translations, and the analogy of the faith is sufficient to prevent a Catholic 4 mind from adopting any error in consequence of a text seeming to bear a heterodox meaning. Perhaps the errors of translation in the existing versions may have led the Fathers to adopt rules of interpretation ranging too far from the simple and literal; but having such translations, they could hardly use them otherwise. Meanwhile St. Augustin will be found to excel in the intense apprehension of those great truths which pervade the whole of Sacred Writ, and in the vivid and powerful exposition of what bears upon them. It is hardly possible to read his practical and forcible applications of Holy Scripture, without feeling those truths by the faith of which we ought to live brought home to the heart in a wonderful manner. His was a mind that strove earnestly to solve the great problems of human life, and after exhausting the resources, and discovering the emptiness, of erroneous systems, found truth and rest at last in Catholic Christianity, in the religion of the Bible as expounded by St. Ambrose. And though we must look to his Confessions for the full view of all his cravings after real good, and their ultimate satisfaction, yet throughout his works we have the benefit of the earnestness with which he sought to feed on the “sincere milk of the word.”
