✏David s Vineyards Book Summary : Davids history provides a convincing argument that, in his case at least, homosexuality is congenitally hereditary. However, he has no predilection for publicly advocating with the growing gay communities of the 1970s San Francisco Bay Area. He has more than enough resistance regarding his sexual persuasion from his own mother to keep him busy. Fortunate in the support of other family members, especially his faithful and loving sister, he strives to ignore his mothers objections. This is a chronicle of Davids pursuit for personal happiness which takes him to London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome and New York and the unexpected events that cause him to reevaluate his simplistic goal of self-satisfaction to maturely align his emotional and spiritual trajectory in life.

✏Children s Literature and Learner Empowerment Book Summary : Children's literature can be a powerful way to encourage and empower EFL students but is less commonly used in the classroom than adult literature. This text provides a comprehensive introduction to children's and young adult literature in EFL teaching. It demonstrates the complexity of children's literature and how it can encourage an active community of second language readers: with multilayered picturebooks, fairy tales, graphic novels and radical young adult fiction. It examines the opportunities of children's literature in EFL teacher education, including: the intertexuality of children's literature as a gate-opener for canonised adult literature; the rich patterning of children's literature supporting Creative Writing; the potential of interactive drama projects. Close readings of texts at the centre of contemporary literary scholarship, yet largely unknown in the EFL world, provide an invaluable guide for teacher educators and student teachers, including works by David Almond, Anthony Browne, Philip Pullman and J.K.Rowling. Introducing a range of genres and their significance for EFL teaching, this study makes an important new approach accessible for EFL teachers, student teachers and teacher educators.

✏The Love They Could Not Share Book Summary :

The book is about the story of two women who, after they were killed, their souls won't leave the Mother Earth until their sentimental wishes were accomplished. The spirit of Mary Scarlet Scarborough, a loving mother who was accidentally killed in a robbery, witnessed the anguish of her only loving son, David, who promised to crush the head of her killer when they meet. She would stay and guide David until the day he would meet her killer. During the Second World War, David surrendered to the Imperial Japanese Army during the fall of Bataan and became a part of the death march, but he escaped and became a member of the guerilla unit that formed the Silent Killers. In their journey on top of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, he would meet Rosemarie Borromeo, who would fall in love with him but would be killed by a Japanese soldier during a rescue operation to free her father, Commander Borromeo. The spirit of Rosemarie won't leave the Mother Earth until David finds the woman he would love and marry.

Twice in the story, the spirit of Mary Scarlet would save the life of David. Rosemarie also saved the life of David a couple of times during and after the Second World War.. After their divine intentions were accomplished, the spirits of Mary Scarlet and Rosemarie left the Mother Earth happy, smiling, and contented with the love they could not share.

✏When God Says No Book Summary : Does it feel like God has stopped listening to your prayers? Do you approach prayer with confidence or with confusion? Perhaps you have given up organized prayer entirely, resorting to monotonous, habitual, shallow repetitions--day after day after day. This work will address these and other questions we all have about communicating with God. In these pages you will find straight talk about substantial pitfalls along the road to authentic prayer. Dr. Tom Hauff provides an in-depth investigation into the ways we pray, the goals prayer should accomplish, and how we respond to God's answers. You will find that God has not stopped listening and that prayer does not have to be confusing. It can be vibrant and life-giving, productive and encouraging, but there is a key to such a prayer life. In this book, in an easily accessible way, Dr. Hauff unfolds this foundational key: We genuinely communicate in prayer only when we learn to listen honestly to God.

✏David the Prince Book Summary : Half-Celt and half-Saxon, King David determined to take hold of his backward, patriarchal, strife-ridden country and, against all the odds, pushed and dragged it into the forefront of Christendom's advancing nations. This is a story of independence, single-mindedness and hard-headed leadership. But also, through the turbulent years of his reign, it is a story of devotion: to the woman he admired and loved, Queen Matilda. Set in the 12th century, this is the incredible story of one of Scotland's greatest kings: David, the monarch who made Scotland a power for the first time, told by master of Scottish historical fiction Nigel Tranter.
