✏30 Day Journal and Tracker Reversing Intermittent Explosive Disorder Book Summary : After relentlessly studying the teachings of legendary healers, such as Dr Arnold Ehret and Dr Robert Morse, we set out on a journey of healing ourselves and reversing our very own conditions. Within our group, we were suffering from a range of diverse diseases and conditions, including Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, Diabetes, a variety of Autoimmune Diseases and Leaky Gut. During our healing journeys, we formed a journal that we would use on a daily basis, and this helped us to incorporate all of the lessons and tips that we had learnt and refined along the way - in short, it acted as a check list. It was important to us to not miss out on any knowledge and practices that had served us well. This journal is designed to guide and support you through your own journey with the core healing protocols included within its theme. One of the key conclusions that we reached through our individual journeys was that whether you are a sufferer of Intermittent Explosive Disorder, or any other condition, the same protocol that we used applies. However, dependant on the severity of your Intermittent Explosive Disorder, you may need to follow the protocols for longer, using specific herbs in order to achieve positive results, but you can make your own adjustments as you learn more. The great news is that all information and resources are readily available for personal study and application. Dr Arnold Ehret's books can be downloaded freely if you search for "arnold ehret books pdf". Visit rawfigs.com for Dr Robert Morse videos which can be searched through by keywords via the search bar. With this journal and your newly acquired knowledge, we trust that you will also soon start to experience the positive results that we did, along with the many others that send us regular positive feedback. We wish you all the best. The Health Formation Team

✏Rage Book Summary : Powerful Tools for Overcoming Extreme Anger Do you or someone you care about experience episodes of extreme and unpredictable anger? Intense rages that threaten relationships, jobs, property-or worse? The first thing you need to know is that you are not alone. Researchers estimate that some 7 percent of Americans may at some time experience a condition called intermittent explosive disorder (IED), which is characterized by reoccurring periods of extraordinary anger, and millions more have less frequent yet equally damaging experiences with rage. The second thing you need to know is that there is help. Rage can be calmed and controlled with good advice and a practical, effective plan for change. From renowned anger expert Ronald Potter-Efron, this book breaks down rage into four types: In survival rage, anger is triggered by a sense of danger or threat; feelings of helplessness can trigger impotence rage; the third type, abandonment rage, is triggered by a fear of losing a cherished relationship; and shame rage occurs when someone feels very disrespected. Rage briefly discusses how the brain functions during extreme emotion, and then it turns to the task of helping you stop episodes of rage-right now! In classic Potter-Efron style, the book places the responsibility for control squarely on the shoulders of the angry individual. There is no room in this dangerous situation for whys and becauses. Instead, Rage offers no-nonsense, step-by-step anger management tools that really work.

✏Clinical Manual of Impulse Control Disorders Book Summary : Visibility of impulse-control disorders (ICDs) has never been greater than it is today, both in the field of psychiatry and in popular culture. Changes in both society and technology have contributed to the importance of conceptualizing, assessing, and treating impulse-control disorders (ICDs). The ground-breaking Clinical Manual of Impulse-Control Disorders focuses on all of the different ICDs as a group. Here, 25 recognized experts provide cutting-edge, concise, and practical information about ICDs, beginning with the phenomenology, assessment, and classification of impulsivity as a core symptom domain that cuts across and drives the expression of these complex disorders. Subsequent chapters discuss Intermittent explosive disorder, an often overlooked ICD characterized by impulsive aggression. Childhood conduct disorder and the antisocial spectrum. Self-injurious behavior and its relationship to impulsive aggression and childhood trauma. Sexual compulsions and their serious public health implications. Binge eating, a highly familial disorder associated with serious medical complications and psychopathology. Trichotillomania, which may be related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, skin picking, and nail biting. Kleptomania, a heterogeneous disorder that shares features with ICDs as well as with mood, anxiety, and addictive disorders. Compulsive shopping, more common in women, with treatments ranging from self-help and financial counseling to trials with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Pyromania and how it differs from arson. Pathological gambling, a maladaptive behavioral addiction that is increasing in step with legalized and Internet gambling. Internet addiction, ranging from excessive seeking of medical information to dangerous sexual behaviors. The remarkable Clinical Manual of Impulse-Control Disorders sheds light on the complex world of ICDs. ✏Impulse Control Disorders Book Summary : In the last decade, much needed attention and research has been focused on the group of psychiatric conditions termed 'impulse control disorders' or ICDs. Pathological gambling, compulsive shopping, kleptomania, hypersexuality, Internet 'addiction', among other disorders, are characterized by a recurrent urge to perform a repetitive behavior that is gratifying in the moment but causes significant long-term distress and disability. Despite the high rate of co-morbidity with obsessive compulsive disorder, ICDs are now clearly distinguished from these disorders with a unique clinical approach for diagnosis and treatment. A wide array of psychopharmacologic and psychotherapeutic options is now available for treating these disorders. Drs Elias Aboujaoude and Lorrin M. Koran have collated the world's foremost experts in ICD research and treatment to create a comprehensive book on the frequency, evolution, treatment, and related public policy, public health, forensic, and medical issues of these disorders. This is the first book to bring together medical and social knowledge bases related to impulse control disorders.

✏Verbal Versus Physical Aggression in Intermittent Explosive Disorder Book Summary : Abstract: Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) is the only adult psychiatric diagnosis for which pathological aggression is primary. DSM-IV criteria focused on physical aggression, but Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) allows for an IED diagnosis in the presence of frequent verbal aggression with or without concurrent physical aggression. It remains unclear how individuals with verbal aggression differ from those with physical aggression with respect to cognitive–affective deficits and psychosocial functioning. The current study compared individuals who met IED criteria with either frequent verbal aggression without physical aggression (IED-V), physical aggression without frequent verbal aggression (IED-P), or both frequent verbal aggression and physical aggression (IED-B) as well as a non-aggressive personality-disordered (PD) comparison group using behavioral and self-report measures of aggression, anger, impulsivity, and affective lability, and psychosocial impairment. Results indicate all IED groups showed increased anger/aggression, psychosocial impairment, and affective lability relative to the PD group. The IED-B group showed greater trait anger, anger dyscontrol, and aggression compared to the IED-V and IED-P groups. Overall, the IED-V and IED-P groups reported comparable deficits and impairment. These results support the inclusion of verbal aggression within the IED criteria and suggest a more severe profile for individuals who engage in both frequent verbal arguments and repeated physical aggression.

✏Treating Disruptive Disorders Book Summary : Treating Disruptive Disorders is a practical book for busy clinicians—psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and more—as well as students, interns, or residents in the mental health professions. It distills the most important information about combined as well as solitary treatments of a variety of psychological disorders characterized by disruptive behaviors, including those where disruptive aspects are part of core symptoms (like ADHD, ODD, or conduct disorder), and those where disruptive features are commonly associated with core symptoms (like mood, personality, and cognitive/developmental disorders). In addition to an analysis of the best in evidence-based practice and research, the volume also includes brief clinical vignettes to help present the material in an easily accessible, understandable, readable, and relevant format. The chapter authors are experts in the treatment of these disorders and review a wide variety of empirically supported treatments for children, adolescents, and adults.
