✏Summary of Hillary s America Book Summary : Summary of Hillary’s America by Dinesh D’Souza | Includes Analysis Preview: Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party is a history of the Democratic Party, which author Dinesh D’Souza argues is the source of all evil and iniquity in American history. Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic nominee for president, is a crook who entered politics for personal gain. As such, she is the natural representative of the corrupt Democratic Party. Some argue that Thomas Jefferson was the founder of the Democratic Party. In reality, the modern Democratic Party and its history of plunder began with Andrew Jackson’s presidency in 1829. Jackson was a military general before taking office. During his military career, he forced Native Americans off their land and then seized it to enrich himself and his cronies. The use of government power for personal enrichment is a quintessential Democratic tactic. Jackson was also a slave owner, and the Democrats were the party of slavery. 📒Misogyny ✍ Gail Ukockis
✏Misogyny Book Summary : New aspects of the misogyny that impacts girls and women worldwide continue to emerge every day. However, recent movements (e.g., #MeToo, Time's Up, the Women's March) indicate a strong hunger for a meaningful resource for thoughtful activists. Impassioned but practical, this book discusses the social contexts of misogyny, such as toxic masculinity and rape culture. It traces the history of misogyny and considers its meaning today-what is new and what is old. The author also proposes strategies for effective feminist action. Written for advocates of gender equality who are already aware of misogyny, the book includes Action Steps as tools for activism on both the individual and political levels. Misogyny is a timely text that offers concrete guidance as we strive for the egalitarian society that, despite all setbacks, we are capable of achieving.
📒Democratic Party Elitists ✍ David E. Screws
✏Democratic Party Elitists Book Summary : Democratic Party Elitists By: David E. Screws Utilizing the ten planks of communism, Democratic Party Elitists: Totalitarian Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing draws parallels with much of what has occurred in the United States since the Progressive Era, most of it implemented by the Democratic Party presidents, but some of it from the Republican side of the aisle. It is an analysis of the implementation of communist, or statist, rule in America and it clearly describes the strategies employed by the Democratic Party to achieve its goal of totalitarian rule.
📒Liberal Fascism ✍ Jonah Goldberg
✏Liberal Fascism Book Summary : “Fascists,” “Brownshirts,” “jackbooted stormtroopers”—such are the insults typically hurled at conservatives by their liberal opponents. Calling someone a fascist is the fastest way to shut them up, defining their views as beyond the political pale. But who are the real fascists in our midst? Liberal Fascism offers a startling new perspective on the theories and practices that define fascist politics. Replacing conveniently manufactured myths with surprising and enlightening research, Jonah Goldberg reminds us that the original fascists were really on the left, and that liberals from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Hillary Clinton have advocated policies and principles remarkably similar to those of Hitler's National Socialism and Mussolini's Fascism. Contrary to what most people think, the Nazis were ardent socialists (hence the term “National socialism”). They believed in free health care and guaranteed jobs. They confiscated inherited wealth and spent vast sums on public education. They purged the church from public policy, promoted a new form of pagan spirituality, and inserted the authority of the state into every nook and cranny of daily life. The Nazis declared war on smoking, supported abortion, euthanasia, and gun control. They loathed the free market, provided generous pensions for the elderly, and maintained a strict racial quota system in their universities—where campus speech codes were all the rage. The Nazis led the world in organic farming and alternative medicine. Hitler was a strict vegetarian, and Himmler was an animal rights activist. Do these striking parallels mean that today’s liberals are genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order? Not at all. Yet it is hard to deny that modern progressivism and classical fascism shared the same intellectual roots. We often forget, for example, that Mussolini and Hitler had many admirers in the United States. W.E.B. Du Bois was inspired by Hitler's Germany, and Irving Berlin praised Mussolini in song. Many fascist tenets were espoused by American progressives like John Dewey and Woodrow Wilson, and FDR incorporated fascist policies in the New Deal. Fascism was an international movement that appeared in different forms in different countries, depending on the vagaries of national culture and temperament. In Germany, fascism appeared as genocidal racist nationalism. In America, it took a “friendlier,” more liberal form. The modern heirs of this “friendly fascist” tradition include the New York Times, the Democratic Party, the Ivy League professoriate, and the liberals of Hollywood. The quintessential Liberal Fascist isn't an SS storm trooper; it is a female grade school teacher with an education degree from Brown or Swarthmore. These assertions may sound strange to modern ears, but that is because we have forgotten what fascism is. In this angry, funny, smart, contentious book, Jonah Goldberg turns our preconceptions inside out and shows us the true meaning of Liberal Fascism.

📒The Democrats ✍ Lance Selfa
✏The Democrats Book Summary : "The Democrats: A Critical History is worthy reading for anyone who is interested in social change."--MediaMouse.org The 2006 elections put the Democrats in the majority in both houses of Congress, yet those hoping for change have been deeply disappointed. Lance Selfa looks at the Democrats in a broad historical perspective, showing that today’s betrayals stem from the Democratic Party’s role as one of the two parties serving the interests of the US establishment, not of the broader public or its “base” of women, African Americans, trade union members, and working and poor people. Many other books on the Democrats have seen the party’s recent history as a departure from its storied past as the “party of the people.” Selfa’s book is one of the few written for a popular audience to challenge this myth and to put today’s crisis of the Democratic Party’s legitimacy in a historical perspective. As the 2008 presidential season heats up, there will be many books about individual candidates and their personalities. This book is for people who want to go beyond campaign puffery to look at the serious topics and questions at stake, with a vision that isn’t limited to the next election cycle. Lance Selfa is a researcher and author. An editor and contributor to International Socialist Review, he edited The Struggle for Palestine (Haymarket Books, 2002). He lives in Chicago.
