✏Fly Me to the Moon Book Summary : An astrological journey begins... When Juliet Green sets off on a round-the-world trip she knows that it is to be an inner, spiritual journey rather than an indulgence in tourism. Her travels in Hawaii and the West Indies, the part of the experience covered in this book, confirm for her the life-changing potential of Astro*Carto*Graphy - an astrological theory detailing the varying influence of different planets as a person moves across the Earth. She finds contrasting and conflicting aspects of her personality brought to the fore. Romantic encounters are abundant, and so are deeply spiritual relationships with the landscape she travels through. This is a book packed with evocative descriptions of the people and places with which the author engages, as well as insights into new-age thinking with regard to religion, alternative medicine and personal philosophy. To the Reader : Juliet invites you both to read her book and become aware of this form of travel, and also wishes to open the door to you to make your own astrological journeys.

✏Fly Me to the Moon Book Summary : Fly Me to the Moon transports you to who your were when America took its first steps into space; the night you sat transfixed to the television as the crew of Apollo XI landed on the moon; the day you resolved to one day become an astronaut. Perhaps you were the 10-year-old kid who transformed a plain refrigerator box into a Mercury space capsule; or the resident of a small Texas community lighting celebratory Christmas Eve candles for your neighbors, the crew of Apollo VIII, or the musician saved from the ravages of drugs by one woman's historic voyage to the stars. For every Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle voyage into outer space, there is an accompanying story. For every mission, there is the story of a starry-eyed child transformed into Alan Shepard, John Glenn, or Neil Armstrong. For every astronaut who braved weightlessness, the unknown, the perils of space flight, there is a grown up child wishing he or she could do the same. You'll remember you own youthful dreams during a bygone time in America when space flight bewitched us all and changed a generation.

📒Fly Me To The Moon ✍ Bik Van der Pol
✏Fly me to the moon Book Summary : Suppose the New Rijksmuseum were in the market for a site on the moon, some time in the near or distant future. Would it be sensible, or nonsensical, for the Rijksmuseum to purchase a lunar plot where it can safely house its collection? Since the "discovery" of the moon, people have laid claim to it, whether symbolic or genuine. The moon has resources that could potentially be extracted using technologies yet to be developed. What is more, it may become possible for people to live on the moon someday. Pending future developments, there is a lively Internet trade in deeds to pieces of the moon, available at bargain prices. The legality of this form of private enterprise is obviously debatable, and yet... Bik Van der Pol took as core item of the project one of the oldest objects in the collection of the Rijksmuseum: a moon rock. The crew of the first manned lunar landing mission, Apollo 11, brought this rock back to earth in 1969. That same year the three astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Michael Collins visited the Netherlands. Willem Drees, a former Dutch prime minister, received the rock on that occasion as a present from the United States ambassador. And later, this piece of stone was donated to the Rijksmuseum. The moon rock creates links between the site of the museum, the city, the collection and its own origins. These links are examined from various perspectives. In the background are questions concerning the public and private significance of a collection, as well as questions of public interest.
