📒Professional Leadership For Social Work Practitioners And Educators ✍ Anna Fairtlough
✏Professional Leadership for Social Work Practitioners and Educators Book Summary : Professional leadership is increasingly recognised as being vital to enhancing social work’s reputation and effectiveness. Although professional leadership is one of the nine domains of the professional capability framework in England, sometimes leadership is assumed to be the prerogative of managers rather than the responsibility of all professional social workers. The participation of social workers and social work educators in shaping professional cultures within organisations through practice innovation, practitioner research and workforce development is thus crucial. Drawing on theories that challenge hierarchical concepts of leadership, this book will enable experienced social work practitioners and educators to develop their professional leadership to more expert levels. Throughout the book there are case examples illustrating examples of advanced professional leadership in action, research highlights and exercises utilising self-reflection, action planning, creative writing and imagery to provide practical support to the reader.

📒Evolution Of Information Technology In Educational Management ✍ Arthur Tatnall
✏Evolution of Information Technology in Educational Management Book Summary : Evolution of Information Technology in Educational Management As the editors of this volume we are very happy to publish a selection of the papers that were presented at the eighth Conference of Working Group 3.7 of the International Federation for Information Processing which was held in July 2008. The focus of Working Group 3.7 is on ITEM: Information Technology in Educational Management (for more information, please visit our website http://item.wceruw.org/), and the theme of its 2008 conference was on the Evolution of Information Technology in Educational Management. Our Working Group started its activities (officially we were not an IFIP Working Group at that time) in 1994 in Israel, so it made sense to look at how ITEM has evolved over the years and to reflect on what its future may be. The conference took place in Darwin (northern Australia) which even during the Australian winter is a very pleasant location for having a conference. The town of Darwin was given its name by the Captain of the Beagle (the ship on which Darwin travelled when he made the investigations on which he based his Theory of Evolution) who came to the area and named the town after the giant of science he admired.

✏The Well Balanced Leader Interactive Learning Techniques to Help You Master the 9 Simple Behaviors of Outstanding Leadership Book Summary : Empower your people, your company—and yourself—with leadership egolibrium egolibrium: the ability to toggle between egocentric and “other-centric” attitudes, values, and behaviors for organizational success There’s no doubt about it: the very best leaders are deeply in tune with their behavior and understand the impact it has on others. As one of the world’s top trainers in the field of accelerated experiential learning, Ron Roberts understands this more keenly than anyone, and in The Well-Balanced Leader, he helps you re-envision your own behavior to become the best leader you can be. Roberts makes the process of finding the perfect leadership balance—what he calls egolibrium—personally enriching and easy to achieve. He begins by identifying the nine human behavioral dichotomies that most affect the quality of leadership: Nonjudgmental / Judgmental Nondefensive / Defensive Relinquishing Control / Controlling Openness to learning / Know it all Doing the right thing / Doing whatever you want Patience / Impatience Letting go / Holding on Acceptance / Resistance Other-centric / Egocentric Everyone’s behaviors fall somewhere between each dichotomy. Using the activities, action steps, games, and thought exercises included for each pair, you’ll figure out exactly where your behaviors land, and then learn how to move that position in one direction or the other to find the right balance or your specific needs. When you transcend your personal needs and focus on the needs of others and of the organization, everyone benefits—including you. The result is not only greater job satisfaction for people at all levels, but greater productivity— regardless of the organization’s field, product, or service. The Well-Balanced Leader gives you the tools for making the small, incremental changes in behavior that lead to big changes in awareness—and huge changes in your leadership effectiveness.

📒Defining Counterintelligence Ci Security And Non Governmental Actors ✍ Giovanni Coletta
✏Defining Counterintelligence CI Security and non governmental actors Book Summary : Essay from the year 2017 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Topic: Peace and Conflict Studies, Security, grade: N/A, Brunel University, course: Intelligence & Security Studies, language: English, abstract: The issue of the mutual boundaries between Counterintelligence (CI) and Security (Sy) activities and responsibilities has been largely engaged on a theoretical level over the last few decades. However, the lack of an accurate and widely agreed distinction has generated a certain confusion about what the actual distribution of the responsibilities of each activity is in daily practice. As a preliminary discussion, this essay will analyse the responsibilities of both CI agents and Sy officers in order to clarify similarities and differences, arguing that the practice of counterintelligence is not simply an extension of the Sy officer’s one, although there are some common duties. Secondly, it will illustrate how these differences apply to different organizations by presenting examples of state (CIA) and non-state (IRA) actors. Finally, it will be argued that the division of responsibilities between CI practitioners and Sy officers lies with the nature of the organization considered, as it appears clearly defined in the state actors, whereas it assumes different forms in the non-state actors.
