The project further identified various safety concerns, ways of detecting and eliminating them and developed the techniques necessary to characterize the rheological behavior of highly-filled energetic materials. The findings of this project provide the science and technology base of the continuous processing of solid rocket fuels using corotating twin screw extruders.
