Ich wollte schon von Beginn an, meine Arbeit mit einem praktischen Teil unterstützen. Und was wäre näherliegender gewesen, als selbst Kleidungstücke zu nähen? Während drei Wochen habe ich mich ganz intensiv mit meinen Ideen, Entwürfen und dem Konzept beschäftigt. In den Herbstferien ging es dann mit der Praxis los. Mit der Haute Couture Schneiderin Friedy Koch arbeitete ich an der Umsetzung meiner drei Kleidungsstücke. In der Dokumentation habe ich jeden Arbeitsschritt tagebuchartig festgehalten. Ich habe versucht die Kleider nach der Philosophie von Chanel selbst zu gestalten und nicht einfach etwas zu kopieren. Friedy war mir eine sehr grosse Hilfe und mit ihrer Perfektion und ihrer Beratung, konnte ich meine Kleider ganz meinen Vorstellungen entsprechend umsetzen. Auf das Resultat der Kleider bin ich sehr stolz. Durch meine Maturaarbeit habe ich mir nicht nur viele wertvolle Kenntnisse der Schneiderkunst angeeignet, sonder lernte auch durch den schriftlichen Teil vieles. Was ein Klassiker ist, ist mir jetzt bewusst und ich weiss nun, dass ganz viel harte Arbeit hinter seiner Entwicklung steckt.
