📒Handbook Of Applied Behavior Analysis ✍ John Austin
✏Handbook of Applied Behavior Analysis Book Summary : Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a highly functional discipline that, instead of searching for abstract, internal causes for human behavior, looks to external factors that can be influenced. Once identified, these factors can be manipulated to make meaningful, positive improvements in the lives of real people through positive behavior change. Not surprisingly behavior analysis has been applied to a wide range of human activities, from helping troubled teens to organizing industry to maximizing sports performance. ABA interventions for these diverse problems are often creative — and they tend to be effective. In this volume, some of the field's foremost practitioners offer their expert perspective on a range of topics within ABA. Each chapter is fully referenced and contains a set of reading objectives to facilitate deeper understanding and further discussion of its subject area. While these discussions will be of particular interest to academic behavior analysts and graduate students, clinicians and other practitioners will find the research review helpful and informative.

📒Functional Behavioral Assessment Diagnosis And Treatment Third Edition ✍ Ennio Cipani, PhD
✏Functional Behavioral Assessment Diagnosis and Treatment Third Edition Book Summary : Featuring a highly interactive approach, this text is noted for its exceptionally clear and thorough coverage of how to conduct a functional behavioral assessment (FBA) through various assessment methods, how to diagnose the function of problem behaviors, and how to select a behavioral intervention that addresses the diagnosed function. The development of requisite behavior-analytic skills is aided by utilizing many "real-life" and hypothetical cases that represent common scenarios in applied settings. Highlights include: Interactive approach, icons in the text alert readers to review related narrated on-line lectures highlighting FBAs and treatments and complete assignments embedded in text. Numerous cases, many based on the author’s clinical experiences in working with children and adults in educational and mental health settings, provide a realistic look at applied behavior analysis. Forms, interview protocols, and intervention plans illustrate the process of creating behavior plans from collected assessment data. A pioneering classification system for categorizing the function of problem behavior (Cipani BCS). Cases that model the process of assessment, classification, and treatment used in an FBA, allow readers to role play and develop presentation and classification skills. New to this edition: Chapter objectives and BACB Standards that match the content to be covered with objectives from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) task list help readers master some of the skills required of behavior analysts. Assignments and discussion items with associated narrated Power Point lectures to further engage readers. Simulation Exercises to actively involve readers in collecting data, conducting an assessment, demonstrating the use of a function, or observing how to “shape” an alternate behavior. Self-Assessment exercises to help readers test their understanding of the content. The Cipani EO School Behavioral Interview Rating System to help in conducting interviews. The Cipani Replacement Function Classification System for determining the strength of replacement behaviors. Online instructor's resources including test items tied to the chapter objectives, a conversion guide for adopters, tips for creating a course syllabus and using the discussion questions and assignments, and the chapter objectives, the BACB standards, and assignments. Online student resources including narrated PowerPoints and video lectures. 📒Behavioral Approaches For Children And Adolescents ✍ Philip C. Kendall
✏Behavioral Approaches for Children and Adolescents Book Summary : Challenges for the next decade as the subtitle ofa book is a statement ofambition. In the present time we have to be ambitious as scientists, clinicians, and teachers. Without ambition we would not be able to confront the problems of young people in an effective way. In this decade, we can see an abundance of problems of young people: football hooliganism, school drop out, vandalism, delinquency, lack ofsocial skills, aggression, and depression. The problem seems to grow. Governments, parents, and concerned citizens call for action now. Unfortunately, the action that is taken is often impulsive and not based on scientifically proven methods: longerjail sentences for young first offenders, putting young offenders in military look-alike training camps, etc. For some reason, the usage of effective interventions is limited. In this, book the reader will find an extensive overview of what we know to be effective as a "cure" or prevention for the above-mentioned problems. The first four chapters will give the reader a clear insight ofwhat the "state ofthe art" is today. erview of cognitive behavioural therapies with children and ado An integrative ov lescents isgiven by Kendall, Panichelli-Mindel, and Gerow.Russo and Navalta providesome new dimensions ofbehavior analysis and therapy. What behavioral approaches can offer to education is described by Slavenburg and van Bilsen in two chapters. In Part II authors from Australia, the United States, and the Netherlands describe programs for specific clinical populations: attention deficit disorder, anti-social youth, learning problems, social skills problems, depression, and aggression.

📒International Handbook Of Behavior Modification And Therapy ✍ Alan S. Bellack
✏International Handbook of Behavior Modification and Therapy Book Summary : The rapid growth of behavior therapy over the past 20 years has been well doc umented. Yet the geometric expansion of the field has been so great that it deserves to be recounted. We all received our graduate training in the mid to late 1960s. Courses in behavior therapy were then a rarity. Behavioral training was based more on informal tutorials than on systematic programs of study. The behavioral literature was so circumscribed that it could be easily mastered in a few months of study. A mere half-dozen books (by Wolpe, Lazarus, Eysenck, Ullmann, and Krasner) more-or-Iess comprised the behavioral library in the mid- 1960s. Semirial works by Ayllon and Azrin, Bandura, Franks, and Kanfer in 1968 and 1969 made it only slightly more difficult to survey the field. Keeping abreast of new developments was not very difficult, as Behaviour Research and Therapy and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis were the only regular outlets for behavioral articles until the end of the decade, when Behavior Therapy and Be havior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry first appeared. We are too young to be maudlin, but "Oh for the good old days!" One of us did a quick survey of his bookshelves and stopped counting books with behavior or behavioral in the titles when he reached 100. There were at least half again as many behavioral books without those words in the title.
