✏THE GOSPEL OF OUR GRANDFATHERS Book Summary : With so many versions of the gospel being marketed to the public, which message is correct? Why do so many professing Christians not know the essential elements of the message that Paul deemed to be the very “power of God for salvation” (Romans 1:16)? The Gospel of Our Grandfathers offers a theologically deep yet understandable overview of the glorious gospel that was “once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). Ideal for small group study, personal devotion, evangelism, or new member instruction, this study explores the gospel in five sections: The Attributes of God The Depravity of Fallen Man The Substitutionary Atonement of Christ Man’s Response—Repentance and Faith Assurance of Salvation The Gospel of Our Grandfathers is a simple work that seeks to bring you face-to-face with the attributes of God, the plight of man, the excellence and sufficiency of Christ, the application of redemption, and the assurance of salvation. Whether you are a seasoned follower of Christ, a new Christian, or a curious skeptic, you will find in this account a clear, biblically saturated presentation of the message that men of old have proclaimed and men of valor are called to proclaim still. “J. A. White ... lists the facts of the gospel of Jesus Christ and shows his reader that, in short, this is your father’s and grandfather’s religion.” —Rick Walston, PhD, President of Columbia Evangelical Seminary “A clear and faithful presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, once delivered to the saints! The Gospel of Our Grandfathers will deepen your understanding and encourage your soul.” —Greg Gilbert, author of What Is the Gospel? and pastor of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. “In The Gospel of Our Grandfathers, John White points the reader’s gaze to the God of the gospel, portraying the various facets of His character and His work for the salvation of sinners through Jesus Christ. Amply supported by Scripture and expanded upon by gospel sages past and present, the thoughts John shares in this warm-hearted book will enrich your love for Christ, deepen your appreciation for the Faith once-delivered to the saints, and equip you to deliver the gospel to the next generation with clarity and depth. This present generation, and the generations to come, are well served by this resource!” – Milton Vincent, author of A Gospel Primer for Christians

✏Knowing God Book Summary : Knowing God? is an indictment of Protestant American Christianity in its failure to follow Jesus of Nazareth. Consumer Christianity is laid bare before the gospel and found wanting. After exposing the superstition of American Christianity, Hardin examines the gospel narrative and demonstrates that a truly Jesus-oriented approach must be non-sacrificial in all its ways. Like Jeremiah, Kierkegaard, or the early Barth, Knowing God? rings with a clarion call for followers of Jesus to ask what the Christian life looks like and is all about.

✏Your Identity in the Trinity Book Summary : Many believers struggle with assurance of salvation, tending to approach obedience to God out of either guilt or legalism. We exist to display God's glory, declare God's gospel, and disciple for God's Great Commission. Instead of embracing these truths, many Christians have believed the lie that their identity in Christ does not affect how they live their lives in obedience to him. The gospel tells us that “being” (identity) comes before “doing” (obedience). This lack of understanding our gospel identity frequently results in either legalistic pride or frustrating guilt. The purpose of this book is to help believers understand their identity in the three persons of the Trinity and then joyfully serve God with gospel obedience. The gospel indicatives in the Bible serve as the fountain and power for obeying the moral imperatives in the Bible. The gospel roots our assurance of salvation and motivation to obey God in our identity, not in moralism, which elevates our performance instead of exalting the finished work of Christ.

✏The Tradition of the Gospel Christians Book Summary : The Tradition of the Gospel Christians explores the post-Soviet tradition of evangelical Christians originating from the ministry of the Victorian revivalist preacher Lord Radstock in St. Petersburg in the 1870s. In an effort to resolve the current evangelical crises of theology and identity, this study provides an analysis of the tradition's history reflecting on its restorationist tradition, the contours and vectors of its theology, and its practice of biblical interpretation. The historical analysis reveals that the major causes of the crises of identity and theology pertain to the socio-political upheavals, which, in turn, led the tradition to develop strategies to maintain relevance in its changed contexts. The socio-political shifts were also responsible for the lack of emphasis on research and scholarship, which contributed to a difficulty in finding the necessary resources and intellectual virtues to deal with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Building on the discoveries of the historical analysis, Andrei P. Puzynin offers a new historical and theological paradigm by reconstructing the self-identifying narrative and theological framework in critical dialogue with recent developments in Anglo-American evangelicalism and postliberalism. Following the trajectory of the evangelical tradition in the post-Soviet context, a trajectory which relies on Western thought, the book adopts the narrative theological method of reading the world though the lens of Scripture. The self-identifying narrative of the community is reconstructed through a theological reading of the previous identity-constructions, in the light of recent discussions on Christ and the powers. The result of this study helpfully explains the dynamics of Eastern evangelicalism in a traditionally Russian Orthodox setting.

✏Gospel Formed Book Summary : Christianity is based on the foundation of the good news of the gospel. Yet how many Christians truly find their identity there? How many are thriving in a community clinging to the gospel? How many forget about the wondrous glory of Jesus? J. A. Medders is on a mission to help Christians remember that the power that raised Jesus from the dead is also the power for our everyday life in Christ. Yet living a gospel-centered life does not always come easily. The biblical meditations in Gospel Formed help to kindle, or rekindle, the passion to live a grace-addicted, truth-filled, Jesus-exalting life by constantly driving the reader back to the power of the cross and the empty tomb. Funny, punchy, and theologically accessible, readers will be encouraged, challenged, and ultimately reoriented to the true North of Christianity—Christ Himself.
